Eligible international students can apply for these scholarships, covering various levels of studies from undergraduate, master’s, and PhD degree programs. Australian Awards Scholarships (AAS)
This government-sponsored scholarship is an initiative of the Australian government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It is a full scholarship program that covers the expenses of selected candidates, which include; living expenses, full tuition, Health Insurance and even returns economy class plane tickets. International students who plan on studying in Australia can apply for this scholarship. The application deadline is 29th April 2022.
Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP)
It is a fully-funded Australian government research scholarship and is awarded to students pursuing master’s and PhD programs in all academic fields from law, arts and social sciences, business, and many more. It has provisions for full tuition fees, monthly living expense allowances, and research allowances to assist students with the costs that come with pursuing research degrees. The selection of scholarship candidates is based on academic merit and research potential. The application deadline for this scholarship is 30th September 2022.
International Research Training Program (IRTP)
It is an Australian government-funded postgraduate research scholarship program for international students with a first-class honours degree or its equivalent who demonstrate outstanding research potential to pursue a master’s or PhD research degree at the University of Technology, Sydney. Its main purpose is to attract international postgraduate students seeking to study for a higher degree in research, thus helping to support Australia’s research endeavours. It covers the tuition fees and health insurance as well. The deadline for applications was 15th January 2022.
UWA International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
The University of Western Australia is offering scholarships to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students worldwide. If you are looking to study in Australia in 2022 and 2023, you can receive a scholarship of up to AUD$48,000 for undergraduate students and AUD$24,000 for postgraduate students on eligible courses.
Sydney International Student Award
The University of Sydney funded scholarships are available for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD international students enrolled at the school. The scholarship is awarded to recipients from the university, contributing to about 20% of their tuition fee to help recipients achieve their personal and academic goals.
Macquarie University International Scholarships
This Macquarie University offers a partially funded scholarship, which covers the tuition fee of international students seeking to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the university. International scholarships include; Macquarie University UAC International Scholarship, Macquarie Leaders and Achievers International Scholarship, Macquarie University Alumni Scholarship, etc.
Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)
Adelaide University, one of Australia’s most prestigious universities, offers undergraduate and postgraduate international students research scholarships. Scholarships include; Global Citizens Scholarship, Global Academic Excellence Scholarship, and Higher Education scholarship. The scholarships awarded cover; tuition fees, living allowance, and health insurance.
Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (FIPS)
Undergraduate and postgraduate international research scholarships are available at Flinders University in Australia. The scholarships simply known as FIPRS include SACE scholarships, which cover tuition, allowances, plane tickets and relocation costs.
University of Melbourne International Research Scholarships
The University of Melbourne offers undergraduate, Master of Research (MPhil), and doctoral degree students with excellent academic performances the opportunity to study at the university by scholarship. The University of South Australia has a huge number of scholarships, which are provided every year to international students who apply for them at the university. These scholarships are available for international graduates seeking to pursue their master’s or PhD degree programs.
Carnegie Mellon University International Scholarships (CMU Australia International Scholarships)
A fully funded master’s degree scholarship for international students. For the entire duration of their 21-month master’s degree, a scholarship is estimated to be about AUD$30,000. Whereas a 12-month master’s degree scholarship is estimated to be about AUD$20,000.
Deakin University International Scholarships
Another fully funded postgraduate international scholarship. The scholarships provide the student with an estimated amount of almost $30,000, health insurance, and a relocation allowance that ranges anywhere between $500 to $1500.

International students pursuing an undergraduate degree, master’s degree, or PhD can apply for any of Australian National University’s fully-funded scholarships available for international students.
Tasmania University International Scholarships
Being one of the top universities in Australia, it is no surprise that the university has a variety of about 150 scholarships for domestic and international students. International scholarships which are partially funded include; Dean’s Merit Scholarship and Tasmanian International Scholarship, which helps international students to be able to concentrate on their academic work and various extra-curricular activities.
